This miniature portrait appears to be signed "Dufay 1825", which perhaps should be read as Dufaix.However, it is possibly by the Swiss artist Dufey who was active 1806-1816.
The sitter is identified indistinctly on the reverse as Comte Bouthier de Pennovere.
